The State of NFTs in 2023

Truth... they are quite dead. I created 10,000 PFP DARK BREED NFTs, not using a computer generated script, but by hand and an old fashioned grid. No one cares. The market has bottomed out and until certain changes are made then the market will stay dead - because there's no money in quick flipping! What idiot fool wants to play the game of "catch the falling dagger" and burn?! Reasons why: Too many artistic hacks sucking up capital that should have gone to real artists (Hey, buy my napkin doodles). Too many rugs. Too many fraudulent collections created by millionaires - who bought out their own supply (to give the false appearence of success) only to dump it and burn the quick flippers. The last straw was SBF (who artificially pumped up BAYC by introducing the collection to his circle of rich investors after acquiring Yuga Labs).

Where Does DARK BREED go from here?

In 2022 I put 101 NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain and froze them to the chain. Only a few sold. I did this to test the waters. If you want one of the remaining 101 DARK BREED NFTs tell me which one and I'll sell it to you for $100.00. kensmindmovie@hotmail.com The remaining 9,899 DARK BREED NFTs will not see the light of day until there are changes in the market that allow them to be profitable once again.

This means that outright fraudsters are arrested AND prosecuted. An example of pain must be put in place. In a REAL market you can sell stocks short. That ability must be put in place so that the game of "catch the falling dagger" does not exist and an astute collector can make money on a rising market AND a falling market. That ensures a level playing field.

I have returned to my back burner project and resumed the creation of 333 oil paintings. If you pull out a calculator and follow along you'll see for yourself WHY artists starve. An artist spends a year thinking up ideas. Another year is spent painting one idea per day. Another year is spent buying framing materials and allowing the oil paintings to dry so they can be photographed and framed.

When they go to market, here is what happens. They're put up on an online market that takes a cut of sales, anywhere from 8% to 50%. If an artist puts up an oil painting for $150.00 and 8% goes to the online marketplace owner or a gallery then that leaves $138.00. Subtract $30.00 for the frame and $28.00 for shipping and $3.00 for materials and that leaves only $77.00 gross X 333 = $25,641.00. THEN... the grifter fraud-face fucks in Washington D.C. and many Democrat controlled states bite into those $$$ with confiscatory taxes + Self Employment taxes. For example, if your total earnings that year amount to a 30% tax bracket + 15% self employment tax then you have $14,102.00 left. Divided by three years of extreme effort, pat yourself on the back dumbass... you just averaged a tiny miniscule profit of $4,700.00 per year!!! And THIS is why artists STARVE!

If you are an artist and want to go the traditional route then by all means... starve. The failure of DARK BREED has taught me a much needed lesson. When I do decide to release my 333 collection I have a secret business plan I have developed. There are zero plans to starve!
